It will be more than visible even if you get the same color you have but in a lighter shade. As more subtle the highlights will be, the more intriguing your hair will look. You can even add some red shaded highlights that are auburn shaded. These streaks won’t be visible, but they will make an interesting effect.

How well does purple shampoo work to get rid of yellow blonde highlights?

Posted by on Thursday, 28 January, 2010

I went with two shades of blonde highlights. I like the “white” blonde one the best. The other blonde looks too yellow on me. I am pale and have cool undertones such as blue eyes. So the lighter, whiter, cooler blondes look best with my skin tone.

How well does the purple shampoos work to get rid of the yellowness in the blonde??

How do I get blonde highlights in dark brown hair?

Posted by on Saturday, 9 January, 2010

I previously dyed my black hair to dark brown. I am looking for a new style and I would like to dye my hair black with two blonde highlights so it will show when I tie my hair up when I play sports.

How can I do this? Can I use a 30 or 40 developer to lift the color and add a blonde dye in a single process using foils? Or do I need to dye my hair black first, then bleach two strands of hair to blonde with a foil?
