My hair is naturally dark blonde. In june I got my hair dyed a rich brown at the salon. In the end, it turned really ginger, and I started to faze it out by putting natural foils in. Now I have dyed my hair light blonde again, except there are these gross tinges of ginger still in some places. Is there anyway to get them out before I go to the salon again? Natural ways?
A few months ago i dyed my (light blonde) hair with Clairol’s Natural Instincts darker brown hair dye, but now i have an inch + of my roots showing! The color has faded some, but its supposed to wash out completely in a month, which it definitely hasn’t. What are some ways to get it out? If i strip my hair at a hairdresser how much will it cost, and will it permanently damage my hair?!
I want to dye my hair a natural blonde shade. I tried to do it yesterday and it turned like a light brownish color that I am not happy with. Any suggestions?
So i should put highlights over what I have already dyed?
My hair is naturally a golden blonde color, but I dye it dark brown. I want to go back to my natural color, but it’ll take too long for my hair to grow in on its own. I’ve been checking the hair dye at the store, but all the blonde colors say that it won’t work if you have dark brown hair. I know that some salons may be able to do it, but I can’t afford that. Is there any brand of blonde hair dye that will cover dark brown completely?
I have bleach blonde long hair and would like to put some light brown/dark blonde streaks in to break the colour up a bit. Is there any way of doing this at home, to make it look natural?? I can’t afford the hairdressers and am worried about blobs of brown going on the blonde because i’d have to do it myself. Or should I just leave it?
Thanks for your help, Emma X
With black leading the pack in terms of the most common hair color, Brown hair is the second most common hair color. Brown hair (also referred to as chestnut and cinnamon) varies from light brown to almost black hair. It has thicker strands than those of fair hair but not as much thick as those of red hair. Females with brown hair are often referred to as brunettes whereas males are generally called brunets. Brown hair is common among West Eurasians– especially in central and southern Europe, West Asia, and North Africa, where it transitions smoothly into blackish-brown and pure black hair.
Talking about revival of one’s brown hairs, Walnut – shell hair tints are a temporary, all natural way of coloring and reviving your hair. This hair tint is fun for any teenager to do when they are in need of a fashion change, and it is great to for someone to use to keep their brown hair looking healthy and shiny.
Steps to follow -
Allergy testing should always be conducted 24 hours before hair tinting is going to take place. Mixing a small amount of mixture to the inner part of your elbow is ideal, if the area the mixture is applied turns red by the next day the hair tinting mixture should not be used. You can find Walnut – shell powder in any local health-food store, however, you can also make it at home by taking dried out Walnut – shells, and placing shells into a coffee grinder. Choose the correct amount of powder for your hair length and place into a metal mixing bowl. To prevent skin staining when tinting your hair, you should apply petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to your hairline and to your ears Pour just enough boiling water to make a mixture of fairly thick paste. Stir well and set aside to cool for at-least 10 minutes. If you have hard to cover grays or hard to color hair, instead of using 3 cups of boiling water, you should use 3 cups of boiling coffee. Add in the oil and lemon juice, and stir to blend well. Apply mixture paste with a hair dye brush (can be bought at your local beauty supply store or online) to your damp, brown hair. After mixture is applied to hair cover with a plastic cap, place a towel around the plastic cap to keep mixture warm.
Besides, applying small amounts of olive oil or jojoba oil to the ends of your hair discourages split ends. If you have blonde hair this mixture is not wise to use unless you want shocking results of red hair. Since hairs that have been treated with chemicals react differently to Walnut than non-chemically treated hairs, if you had your hairs chemically processed recently, you should wait at-least three weeks before using Walnut hair tints.

I had dark brown hair. Over the past 4 months, i’ve noticed my hair is lightening and is now blonde around the edges of my face. How do i prevent it from turning blonde everywhere?
