I have Dark brown hair and i miss my natural blonde hair. any suggestions on dying it back?

My hair is a natural blonde. About 2 months ago, I decided to dye it a dark brunette. I miss my blonde hair a lot. I really want to dye it back to blonde but i always hear people talk about how it doesn’t turn out well. Should i just live with it or is it possible to get my hair back to blonde?

Do not bleach or dye over it, unless you want your hair to fall out or become extremely damaged. Go to the store and buy “Color Oops”, it strips out the dye from your hair and leaves you with your natural hair underneath.

I would go to a salon instead of risking getting that weird yellow/orange blonde.

Color OOPS will NOT remove the color and bring you back to your natural shade. I’ve used this product several times. It works like a bleach. Your roots will turn white blond, and the rest will turn a brassy orange-red (which is REALLY hard to cover up)

You’re best bet is to use a bleach. You don’t need to leave it in as long as the box says, just enough so you can get the color you want when you re-dye your hair. You’ll just have to keep an eye on it. Hair bleach can be damaging, but it will not make your hair fall out. As long as you condition generously between the two processes, you should be ok.

Bleach will open your hair follicles. So if you try and dye it immediately after you bleach it, your scalp will have a burning sensation (your hair will NOT fall out at this point either!) What I’ve done is bleach it at night right before bed. Then dye it first thing in the morning. That way no one sees you with weird hair and you don’t have to suffer through a burning scalp. :) Hope this helps you out!

If you have to use a box hair bleach, I recommend Nice & Easy Born Blonde Hairlightener Kit. I have bleached my natural dark brown to blonde with this product and it never made my hair fall out or anything. It had a tiny bit of red in it, but after a week or 2, I dyed it with a regular blonde shade and it turned out really gorgeous.

Or you can use this stuff and then in the morning dye it with a regular blonde shade. But you’ll have to condition a whole lot for now on and don’t expose your hair to chlorine water much (when you go swimming). So, there are precautions to take when bleaching your hair back to blonde again.
