I’ve had my hair bleach blonde (almost white) for the past three months. I want it to look more natural so I want a darker color, but I still want to be blonde. Would I be able to buy a box of blonde hair dye in a darker color and have my hair turn out okay? Would I need a filler? I can’t go to a professional right now. If I bought golden blonde dye would it turn red since there’s no pigment in my hair now?

buy a toner, it shouldn’t turn your hair any other colour then what it says on the box ! & no you shouldnt need a filler if your only going a darker shade of blonde .

i agree with above..i would originally suggest going to a professional or even to a beauty school where students are monitored by pros and have them low-light and tone your hair..if its not an option i’d go to a sallys beauty supply store..let the ladies know exactly what shade you have in mind..they have color and toners that are super easy to apply and do at home for much less..the colors there are on white swatches in front of the boxes of toners and dyes..that should give you an accurate guess of what your hair color will turn out like…if your iffy about it still, i would go for a semi or demi gloss/color to experiment…always always always stay away from “box color”..it has added metallics and “gunk” that can turn your hair a different color than the model on the box. good luck!
