Blonde hair, how to color with Chi and Redken

I put together a video on how I color my hair and the products I use. Just remember I started with a very dark red color a couple months back, so this process has taken me a long time. So TAKE YOUR TIME. Lighten slowly, you dont want to ruin your hair.

  3. hottycop911 says:

what volume/type of developer are you mixing with the double blonde

  4. lostallsight says:

for a tube of color its around 10 bucks but at a salon it varies in price how much they charge. but you can only get these products if you’re a stylist.

How much does the Redken and Chi color typically cost?

Actually you’re not supposed to put lightener (bleach) on your scalp. You can put color on the scalp all you want. When its a high lift color like 30 or 40 volume it can burn. I did my hours in beauty school so thanks for the input but you’re wrong.

  7. xadcx3 says:

the reason its going to burn is cause your not suppose to put dye on your scalp

I use the double blondes on my regrowth. and the chi lightener from base to ends for highlights. yes. But usually i just do the double blondes on my regrowth and thats it. I did high lights to lift some of my pre existing color.

  9. OoTHATGALoO says:

Do you use the double blondes only on regrowth and the chi lightener on the ends of your hair? Just needing clarification so that I know. Thanks xx

well if you like it and you’re doing good you should just go to school. you can make ssome goood money

No I am not going to school for it. But I was taught my grandmother, who is a licensed cosmetologist, how to do it. Haha. I have never messed my hair up.

  12. lostallsight says:

are you going to go to school for it? I dont dare cut my own hair. the only thing i do is my bangs and some of my layers…but i dont even touch the length.

I use Miss Clairol Professional Maximum Lift Blondes. I have medium brown hair. I use 30 volume peroxide. My hair lifts to platinum. It just lifts really well. My grandmother is a cosmetologist and she taught me how to do everything. I color my own hair, I cut my hair, I can do perms, I can do chemical straightening. I still can’t purchase from Cosmoprof stores because I don’t have a license. I can’t get my license because I don’t have 1600 study hours. Annoying, I tell ya!

A lot of times you can get hair color from Chi or Redken from online dealers.

Kari, you’re gorgeous, and were born to be the stunning blonde you are. If you ever need an extra pair of hands to work on your hands, let me know! :)

I pulled it through my ends cause i have been slowly lightening it. But after it gets to the color i want. I only color my regrowth, or “roots” That way you’re not damaging all of your hair everytime. If it gets golden or brassy easily try using a clarifying shampoo or a toning conditioner.

  19. lostallsight says:

ash violet tint to it. so it actually tones my hair while it lifts it. so i think they have at sallys some colors you could try. Just ask the people who work there. They should be professional stylists. Wella is an ok brand they sell there. and pick up a toner, I think if you did a 10N with 30 you’d be fine if you’re blonde already. If you throw a bunch of foils in like i did it should look alright. just remember everytime you do your hair that you only need to color your regrowth.

I dont know where you would get it to be honest with you. I dont know of any supply stores that are open to the public that sell those professional colors. Its illegal. Its actually illegal for walmart or CVS to sell the shampoos and conditioners too!

But you can go to sallys and try and find something similar? If you’re hair is naturally really blonde than you shouldnt have a problem. But if its dark thats when its tricky. My hair is naturally brown and i have to use a color that has an…

Thank you for this video!! I want to try dying my hair myself, but I’m a little scared .. so I’m researching a lot. I’ve been getting my hair professionally colored for 2 years at a salon, but it’s starting to cost too much. My hair is light ish blonde with a few gold pieces, and brown underneath .. I was wondering if Chi 10N hair color & 30 Developer would be good to use?? And where could I get it at?? Thank you <33
