Facial Hair How to Cope With it

Posted by on Sunday, 7 March, 2010

Bleaching: Commonly done in all beauty parlours. Once you get the hang of it, you can buy the kit and do it yourself at home too. Bleaching makes your facial hair look fair and makes it less evident.

Kitchen remedies are also available for bleaching. Slight facial hair can be camouflaged with regular use of turmeric powder on the face. However care must be taken not to overdo it, as it can lead to yellow tones on your face.

Tweezing: Quite a few women choose to tweeze their face and remove extra hair. Since this can be done at home at no cost and isn’t a painful procedure, this seems to be a popular option. But beauticians fear that this could lead to skin irritation and lead to skin scarring. Tweezing few stray hairs is acceptable. But doing it to remove a heavier growth isn’t really recommended.

Depilatory creams: They’re popularly referred to as hair removing creams. These creams work by dissolving the hair at the base of the follicle. These creams are painless, and relatively inexpensive. But they are recommended more for wide-spread areas like hands and legs. Gentle areas like the face can be very sensitive and react adversely to such creams. Besides you need to keep using the cream every two or three weeks.

Waxing: It’s considered the most popular solution for hair removal. It’s commonly used to remove hair on the upper lip and sides of the face as well. Waxing is capable of removing even the fine hairs. But it can sometimes lead to darkening and inflammation of the skin.

Electrolysis: Low levels of electricity are used to deaden hair follicles. These results last a long time. But the process is expensive and extremely time consuming, as it works on one hair follicle at a time. Besides, if done inaccurately, it can cause deep scarring. People going in for this option should ensure they go to a well experienced professional who can do an excellent job.

Laser treatment: This is the latest treatment available for hair removal. Fair skins with dark hair respond better to this kind of treatment. Dark skinned people need well experienced practitioners to get good results. Certain skin types don’t respond to this treatment at all. Those who have blonde hair on their face would find the laser treatment very ineffective. It is better to check your skin type and your ability to respond to the treatment before you go in for this expensive method.

Laser Hair Removal – Some Common Questions

Posted by on Sunday, 7 March, 2010

Excess facial or body hair is a concern for men and women, alike. Some of the solutions include depilatories, shaving, waxing, and electrolysis. However, many people complain that this temporary solution is too painful and time-consuming. That is why more and more people are turning to laser hair removal for permanent results.

Laser hair removal is a gentle process that uses a low-energy laser to gently remove unwanted hair. Many people have found laser hair removal to be the perfect solution for smooth skin without the nuisance of waxing, shaving, and tweezing. However, before making the decision on whether laser hair removal is right for you, it is important to understand the removal process. Below you will find the answers to some of the most common questions.

Is it safe?

Many people worry about the effects that lasers will have on their skin, but the laser hair removal process is very safe. This technology was approved by the FDA in 1995. Some patients may notice some redness to the skin, but this should clear up in a few minutes to a few hours.

Does it matter what skin type you have?

People that have dark hair and light skin normally have the best results. However, laser technology has advanced dramatically over the past five years and many skin types can be accommodated. If you have tanned skin, you will not be able to be treated until you have lost your tan. The laser process is also not suitable for those with red, grey or real blonde hair.

Is the hair removal process painful?

This is a hard question to answer because it varies greatly by patient. Everyone feels pain differently and no two people are the same. However, most patients have noted some mild discomfort and your doctor will probably provide you with a mild anesthetic during the hair removal process.

How long is the hair removal process?

This actually depends on a variety of factors including skin type, hair color, and the coarseness of your hair. However, most people require more than one treatment because hair is always in a growth phase. For optimal results, you will probably need multiple treatments.

In order to make the best decision for you, it is important to get multiple opinions. Find a reputable clinic with a doctor that is experienced. Laser hair removal treatments must be individualized for each person. Because of this, you will need to find a clinic that is professional and has a trained, caring staff that is dedicated to getting you optimal results.

Why is it that younger guys like blondes and older guys like brunettes?

Posted by on Sunday, 7 March, 2010

Of course I’m not speaking for all guys, but I noticed when I was a lot younger, all the boys seemed to like blondes. The cute blonde girls were the only ones to like.

Now, as I got into high school, most guys like girls with dark hair. I find that so odd, because I’m used to them all liking blondes.

Why is this?

Can I dry my hair from medium brown to blonde without bleaching it?

Posted by on Sunday, 7 March, 2010

What are good brands of hair dye to use? I want to do it at home rather than go to the hairdresser. The shade I want is a dirty blonde, not a really bright bleach blonde.
Thanks that last website is a really good idea, but do you know of any that you don’t have to pay to join?

Irons For You

Posted by on Sunday, 7 March, 2010

Whether you are Tiger Woods or Mrs Woods, there’s a set of irons that’s just right for you. There is no doubting that the most essential and basic part of any golfers game is their iron play. The iron is truly the staple of your bag. The ability to control and shape your iron shots is what will define your game. Its great to be a good driver of the ball, but unless you find the greens from your positions, it will all be in vain.

When you are looking to buy new irons, one important consideration should be your trajectory.

If your have trouble getting the balk to fly high, it might be in your best interests to try out clubs with more offset – that is, where the clubface is slightly behind the shaft.discount golf equipment

On the other hand, if you have a tendency to hit the ball so high that your are losing distance, you should rather go for irons with less offset and stiffer shafts.

If you have any hesitation of which way to go, it’s always best to check your requirements with your professional. taylorMade r9 fairway wood

a joke:Blonde Golfer

A blonde golfer goes into the pro shop and looks around frowning.

Finally the pro askes her what she wants. “I can’t find any green golf balls,”
the blonde golfer complains.

The pro looks all over the shop, and through all the catalogs, and finally calls
the manufacturers and determines that sure enough, there are no green golf balls.

As the blonde golfer walks out the door in disgust, the pro asks her, “Before you
go, could you tell me why you want green golf balls?”

“Well obviously, because they would be so much easier to find in the sand traps!”

happy day!
